THE SHORT ANSWER

Use September–November as a broad autumn planning window, then check foliage by area, elevation and weather. This guide does not certify a 2026 peak-foliage forecast or individual event.

How to choose your dates

Do not infer an entire region’s peak from one foliage photo. Fix your available travel dates first, then use recent official venue notices and forecasts near departure to adjust the outdoor share of the trip.

Korea Tourism Organization retains autumn features with past-year forecasts. The linked 2024 material is used for destination ideas, not as a 2026 forecast.

Connecting events and bookings

Seasonal scenery does not confirm an event. This page does not certify dates, prices or bookings for an individual 2026 festival. Check the event year and organizer notice, then compare booking conditions in the festivals guide.

Connect transport, lodging and timed activities in that order while comparing cancellation terms. If scenery or an event drives the trip, check what happens if transport stops or weather worsens; do not assume free cancellation.

Admission, performances, activities and parking may be charged separately at an event. Check child ages and separate reservations for a family total, and leave a realistic route home after it ends.

Prepare for a walking trip

Pack layers and rain protection for the actual forecast, including mornings and evenings. Plan water and breaks and separate viewpoints with slopes or steps from stroller routes.

Recheck rain or wind alerts and venue restrictions before setting out. Save nearby food and indoor alternatives so the trip still works with less outdoor time.

A few good questions

Does this page provide 2026 peak-foliage dates?

No. It provides general autumn planning and city routes. Check the current year’s forecasts and actual conditions in recent official sources near departure.

Will the route fail if foliage is disappointing?

Each idea combines scenery with cultural stops, meals or indoor alternatives in the same area. Adjust the balance to conditions.

Do the photographs show current conditions?

No. They are credited destination images, not live foliage, weather or crowd reports. Distinguish an illustrative photograph from current conditions.
